Andrew Lucas Studios has joined Brixton-based architecture practice Squires in supporting UK charity Green Shoots Foundation in its efforts to create an Agricultural Skills Training Centre in Cambodia.

The educational agri-tech space, which will be used to train up to 350 farmers each year, is being designed by Squire & Partners and will include not only local design elements, but also will use local materials (such as bamboo) wherever possible. Andrew Lucas Studios will recreate this design in virtual reality, creating an immersive experience so that stakeholders are able to visit the site in Cambodia digitally, allowing them to experience the space as it will be once constructed. Both companies have offered to work on this project pro bono, meaning all money raised towards the project can go directly on the build itself.

“We’re really pleased to be supporting Green Shoots in bringing this brilliant project to fruition,” comments Krystian Zajac, founder of Andrew Lucas Studios. “We’re looking forward to seeing this space come to life in virtual reality, and we all hope that it will help them to secure the funding that this great initiative requires to be successful.”

Both Andrew Lucas’ VR experience and Squires’ architectural design will be presented at a fundraising launch event, which takes place from 6:30pm – 9:30pm on 10th November 2017 at Squire & Partners’ offices at The Department Store, Brixton. Tickets for the event are £15 each, and can be requested by RSVPing to info@greenshootsfoundation.org or via the following link: https://mydonate.bt.com/events/greenshoots10nov
